Everyday Makeup

Hey guys! I hope the week has been treating you well! We have been super busy over here in the Curry house. We just got back from San Antonio and are settling back in. I wanted to quickly share with you guys what makeup I use on a daily basis. These are the products I carry around with me in my purse and travel with. I almost have no time to get ready each day with a 9 month old ALMOST running around. If you have 3 mins, you’ll be able to apply these products and not worry about looking crazy! Let me know if you use any of the products. Β Enjoy!

1) Suki Tinted Moisturizer

2) Hourglass Eyebrow pencil (I love a bold brow!)

3) Benefit “Speed Brow” Brow Gel

4) L’oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara (I’ve been using it since high school!)

5) Tarte Cheek Stain or Hourglass Bronze Light cream to powder bronzer (depends on how I am feeling that day, but I always use a non powder cheek product because its easier to apply)

6) All Natural Lip Balm (so I don’t have to worry about giving Riley any toxic kisses!) (I like the Honest Co lip balm in sweet orange vanilla!)

That’s pretty much it! If I am going to a game or out with my husband, I’ll usually spice it up a bit more but i’ll save that for another post.

(Clearly a little angel name Riley got into my bronzer compact!) See photo belowΒ photo copy 10

  3. I use Bobbi Brown’s tinted moisturizer but it’s too oily. I’m looking for a replacement and will check out Suki. Thanks for the post. πŸ™‚

    • Hourglass makes a great cream concealer. Maybelline also has an awesome one from their “age-rewind” collection. It has a sponge tip applicator. Let me know if you try either of them. πŸ™‚

  4. Wow what a beautiful blog site. I’m currently in the Bay Area with my husband on a holiday. Going to the game tommorow night which is huge. my husband has followed the warriors since he was a kid, and we’ve flown all the way from Australia πŸ™‚ keep up the great work i’ll be sure to tell my friends at home about this site.

  5. Hi Ayesha I am a fan of natural beauty and I too only wear a little bit of makeup. I have been using the same mascara for a couple of years now. I will have to try out the Tinted Moisturizer. I have a 1 year old niece and I know exactly what it’s like seeing little finger prints all over my makeup πŸ™‚ Riley is so adorable!!!!! Love your blog!!!

  6. Hi Ayesha!

I was wondering, did you happen to get some of these products at sephora?

Also, have you tried Benefit’s “They’re Real” eyelash mascara? It does wonders! I rarely ever have to use an eyelash curler anymore!

    • Hi Jeanie!
You can purchase the Tarte and Hourglass products at sephora. I got the Suki product at Whole Foods, mascara from Target and the lip balm at honest.com. Hope this helps!

I have tried that mascara and unfortunately it doesn’t work that great for me! I do know that you’re not alone in your love for it though! It gets rave reviews!

  7. The Voluminous mascara is the best. I’ve used almost every brand from super expensive to drugstore brands and nothing tops it.

  9. Hi, Ayesha! You may not read this but, I just wanted to let you know that you inspire me so much. The way you carry yourself as a wife, mother, and overall, a woman, is truly inspring. You are a very class woman. I love and adore you & Steph’s relationship and how you are both God centered and you put Him first. You both seem very humble and down-to-earth people. I’m truly am one of your biggest fans because of who you are and your amazing personality.Thank you so much for sharing a little bit of your personal life on this blog, I really appreciate it! Keep up the good work, girl! Thanks! πŸ™‚

  10. I use the benefit brow gel, but more than that, I love the benefit high brow! It is the best and does absolute wonders when I havent done my eyebrows!
p.s. It was a great game today and I saw your picture on instagram of you and Riley heading to the game and you two looked so cute together! Hope you had a wonderful first mothers day πŸ™‚

  11. i just bought the benefit speed brow gel because of your post and i LOVE it! i never realized how much my brows framed my face. totally loving this- thanks for the tips!

  12. Hi ayesha, can you do a post talking about your haircut…I saw some of your recent posts on instagram and fell in love with your hair, especially the length and color. I’m planning to get a hair cut soon but don’t know What to tell my hair dresser to do ..hope to hear from you!

  13. Hi, Ayesha!

Thanks so much for posting these tips! I rarely have time to do full-blown foundation, etc. so this three-minute face is perfect for me. I’ll definitely check Suki out the next time I go to Whole Foods. πŸ™‚ Do you have a makeup remover that you recommend? I have sensitive skin and I haven’t found one that works for me yet.

I have to say that I *love* your blog…it’s one of the things that inspired me to start mine. Love the Christ-centered focus that you and your hubby have and the example you two are setting for your beautiful daughter! And I have to thank you for posting your 10 Minute Pasta recipe…it is delicious and my hubby loves it, too. πŸ™‚

    Go Dubs!!!!

  14. I saw one on your video blog before, and having hard time to find it again 😦 . It’s a video when you showed your customize beats (head phones).Anyway, I really love your hair on that video and would like to know what did you do? (hair extension to make it fuller?) Planning to have a hair makeover for my birthday. Thanks in advance!

  15. Hello Ayesha!!! How are you!?

I am a Golden State Warriors fan, and Stephen is my favorite NBA player! I feel so privileged to post a comment on your blog! πŸ™‚

I’ve never posted comments on anyone’s blog before, but it caught my attention when I stumbled across yours, and was reading your post about makeup! I am definitely a lady who loves some cosmetics!! I definitely love the L’Oreal Voluminous, and I too have used it for years! I use the original one in Black. I’ve tried the Carbon Black, but for myself personally it didn’t seem to do anything for me, but I love the original!!! I’ve tried other mascaras, but always come back to that one! You definitely can’t beat the price either!

I have not tried any of the other products you mentioned, but I bet that eyebrow gel is pretty good. I wish I had confidence to wear tinted moisturizer, but I feel like I need more coverage (I suffered from extreme bad acne/scars as a teenager, but have clear skin now in my 20’s). Perhaps it’s a mental thing….LOL I think foundation is wonderful though, especially since there are so many out there for various types of coverage. Are there any foundation faves you may have?

  16. Hello! Love your blog and I love the recipes and tips you have to share.
Have you ever tried Diorshow Extase by Christian Dior? I’ve been using Dior mascara for 8 years and I honestly cannot use anything else, it’s expensive, but so worth it. It elongates, volumizes and creates an all around pop. You can go light for a more natural look, or you can coat it and create a more dramatic look, with no clump! Every makeup artist I have ever worked with has loved this line, it’s AMAZING!

I hope this finds you well, God Bless you and your loved ones.
